Can anyone advise as to the correct way to code for a Labiaplasty/reduction for labial hypertrophy in a 13 year old? The description for CPT 56620 states "to treat premalignant lesions" and CPT 15839 appears to be more appropriate for excision excess skin due to weight loss.

we have used 15839 for this ,also

I agree with Dianne. If the labial procedure was performed to reduce the size of the labia only, I would use procedure 15839.
