Wiki Kx mod

OK..I am arguing with my billing dept. they want me to put KX mod on all DME that "requires" it....I am telling them it is the physician who should be indicating medical necessity, not me. My docs feel "if they give it..it was necessary "

Am I going to be responsible for the KX since I am the one appending it ?

How are you all handling your KX's ?
