Hi. I was wondering how to properly bill bilateral knee xrays (3 view) and bilateral knee standing xrays. (73562 and 73565). It is not accepted to bill both codes together and no modifier allowed. We have seperate results for these two tests. Is there a way to bill together or 1) just bill 4 or more view (73564), or have patient do one set one day and come back for the second set the next day. Please help

Hello, you should add the standing view to each knee CPT code. The only time 73565 is reported is when it is the only exam performed.
In this case, you would bill 73564 for each knee with appropriate modifiers as requested by the payor. We use RT and LT for all our payors.
