Lateral and AP views in neutral, internal and external rotation of the right knee
1. lateral
2. AP - neutral
3. AP - internal
4. AP - external
the last 3 may all be AP, but they are in different rotation and give different information. If they did not, why do them? If they are ordered and medically necessary, and findings documented, then I would count each as a separate view.
A similar situation comes up with swimmers view with t-spines - some argue that it's another lateral and shouldn't be counted as another view.
Look at the Q & A here from ACR about thoracic spine views. The discussion here about swimmer view would be similar to one about your knee views above.
