Can anyone tell me how I need to code for the arthroscopin excision of the fat pad?
Operative Procedures:
1. Arthroscopic partial medial menisectomy
2. Chondroplasty, trochlear side, patellofemoral joint
3. Arthroscopic excision of the majority of the fat pad, anterior aspect.
Operative Procedure (in part):
The knee was entered through an anterolateral puncture where the patient had scarring from previous arthroscopic surgery. Aneromedial for operating portal and these were later switched in the procedure. A lot of scarring in the aterior fat pad requiring partial excision of the anterior fat pad, and later we completed a large excision of anterior fat pad to control bleeding and good visualization and also I think this may well have been majority of his symptoms.
