Wiki Knee arthroscopy biopsy question

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dr. performed the following:

arthroscopic abrasion arthroplasty, left knee
arthroscopic lateral release, left knee
cartilage biopsy for potential cartilage cell procedure, left knee

I have 29879 and 29873 for the first 2 procedures.

I have no idea how to code the cartilage biopsy.

I work for ASC so this is what i do and by all means if somebody knows something different post it. I do code for the first procedures, just like you did and for the biopsy don't charge anything and to make it even worse ASC ambulatory surgical centers are not allowed to charge for the kit to transport the cartilage.
