Responsibilities:
- E&M coding and documentation audits
- Surgical audits
- Physician education and training
- Presentations, education and speaking engagements
- Surgical coding including spine, neurosurgery, cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics
- Outsourced client coding
- ICD-10 Audits and Training for physicians and staff
- Miscellaneous coding and education/training projects
- Assistance to billing service to review coding related claim denials to assist in the appeal process
- Nationally recognized coding credentials (CCS, CPC preferred)
- 3+ years CPT, ICD-9 coding and chart auditing experience for physician services
- 3+ years of physician education experience
- ICD-10 Approved trainer and certification preferred. Company will consider paying for this training for the right candidate.
- Experience and knowledge of a variety of surgical coding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
- Confidence in own skills and knowledge in order to provide superior auditing and physician education services
- Ability to travel out of state on occasion, most travel is local in Colorado
- Flexible hours and schedule to meet the needs of our clients
