If the doctor performs a Rt shoulder injection and a Lt knee injection same dos.
Diagnosis 719.41 and 719.46
The J-code 1040 in each joint.
How would you code the J-code with 2 different diagnosis.
20610 719.41
20610 719.46
J1040 710.41 2 units
ADX 719.46?
Our claims are being denied with J1040 719.41 on one line then J1040 next line with 719.46. Also, J1040 with 2 units and only one diagnosis does not seem correct either?
Any help I can get on this question, I would really appreciate?
I cannot find information on this anywhere?
Thanks so much.

This is how I would have coded it but any other thoughts are welcome...

20610-RT 719.41
20610-LT59 719.46
J1040x2 719.41, 719.46

Thanks so much.
I will continue to code the J-code on one line with 2 units and ADX the second diagnosis.
We heard that from another source also.
I really appreciate the input.....
