Please help clarify how to bill example below:
IVPs of Morphine given:
10:00
10:25
10:50
11:15
We have conflicting information regarding if we should bill addn'l IVP same med. Can you bill IVP same med for the 10:50 drug given as it is 31 minutes after the initial or do you not bill any addn'l same med since there is not 31 minutes in-between each med given.

IV Same Med - Sequential

You would code 96374 for the initial push at 1000, not code the sequential push given at 1025 because it is not greater than 31 min from the initial, but you would code the sequential push given at 1050 because it IS greater than 31 min. from the initial, you can not code the repeat morphine given at 1115 because it was not 31 min after the codable sequential push given at 1050.

Thank you for the response. Do you have a reference that states you can code IVP same med after 31 minutes from the initial and not have to be 31 minutes between each same med given? We have conflicting information and are wanting clarification. Thanks so much!
