Okay,
So a patient comes in they start an IV administer Normal Saline and then administer Adenosine 2 x's via IV same site.
What charges for this do I have?

96360 (thinking no)
96365
96374
96375

Or am I completely off entirely!

What times are documented for hydration (start and stop) and for the IV of Adenosine (assuming they were given IVP)?

You always only want one initial infusion/injection (unless patient has 2 IV's) - so 96365 and 96374 would be incorrect to bill together.

If your Adenosine was given IVP and they were given far enough apart then you would charge 96374 & 96375 - the hydration would then get the additional hour(s) code if documentation is enough.

response to IV hydration?

If adenosine was given IVP - #1. IVP 96374. . #2 IVP 96376 (IVP add'l same drug) but only if a min of 30 mins elapses between each push. If hydration is timed ( start and stop time) 96361 (hydration each add'l hrs) if medically necessary.

IV NS started at 20:50
Adenosine given IV @ 20:55 & again @ 20:59
IV D'C @ 21.59

So your saying i would charge 96374, 96375 and not bill for the hydration 96360, but would I bill 96361 for the duration of this hydration, using the 96374 as the initial? I see why we wouldnt bill the 96365. Sorry if I am cinfusing this more, just hate this stuff!

IVP initial 96374. No charge for second IVP as pushed only 4 mins after initial IVP. Hyfration- I go by start and stop time not by IV D/C time.
