We got a denial on this claim please help how to code this Toradal 30mg IV push was given for body aches, Zofran 4mg IV piggyback was give for nausea and vomiting, he received 1L of normal saline in one hour, Bacillin L-A 1.2 m IM was given for strep throat. Diagnocis Viral Syndrome, Dehydration and Acute Streptococcal pharyngitis. Start time 1:32pm end time 3:10pm. Thanks for the help. Were having discussion with this we just want to settle it.

Based on the information you have given:

Zofran: 96365, 96366
Toradol: 96375
Bicillin: 96372-59

The saline run is inclusive to the drug administration and since you didn't share with us if there was any independent time for the saline, I can't determine if a 963961 would be codable. If the documentation for the saline states "keep vein open" or something with similar meaning, it's not a codable service, but inclusive to the IV hydration.

thank you for the reply but can i ask another scenario what if the saline was given at 12pm then the dr decided to give toradol IV push at 12:45pm and zofran IV piggyback at 1pm can we code the 96360 on this encounter?
