I work for the local health department and my question pertains to the Family Planning Department for IUD insertions.
The county has a contract with Beaumont in which they pay a flat fee for the service (IUD insertion and IUD removal & insertion).
Is the county able to bill the insurance company for 58300 even though we don't do the actual insertion of the IUD? Beaumont does not bill for services.
