Hello,
I'm a Family Practice Coder, and have run into an unusual situation. One of my providers did the following on a 6 month old patient:
The area in the lower abdominal midline and the suprapubic area is cleaned carefully with BETADINE and utilizing a 22-gauge needle, a bladder tap was performed in a sterile fashion obtaining about 3 mL of clear urine.
Is there a CPT or HCPS code for this? Any help would be appreciated.
