Wiki Is there a 90 day limit for sending consult findings to requesting physician?

I am trying to locate specific guidance re: consulting physicians written communication of findings to requesting physician. Is anyone aware of specifc guidelines that address a time limit? I am thinking the physician providing consult must send requesting physician written communiation of findings within 90 days in order to bill a consultation code. Any guidance is appreciated!! Thank you!

I am not aware of any guidance that states that there is a 90 day time limit, however it is always a good rule to provide the requesting physician a report in a timely manner.
