This case is a post closed reduction and external fixation with pinningof the distal radius and ulna fracture. After external fixation was taken off, there was open draining wounds at the pin sites. The pin sites were debrided and closed with steri strips and this was all done in the office. My physician says it is a superficial irrigation and debridement of the wrist during post op. I came up with CPT code 10180. Can anyone tell me if the is the right code. There were so many debridement codes I am second guessing myself. He also wants me to code for a debridement kit and ace bandage but I do think this is included in the irrigation and debridement code. Any suggestions? Please help.
