We would welcome any input on an ongoing consult question.
Patients are referred by their provider to IR for consult for possible IR procedure.
No procedure is scheduled. These are new patients.
Report provides history, medications, Review of systems, and discussion with patient
regarding possible procedure.
NO Physical Exam is performed.
We say since all three elements need to be present and there is a medicare reg regarding
Pre-Exam consults for IR. These are not billable.
Providers say they are.
