What would you use as a comparable CPT?

An incision was made along the lateral nasal wall/pirifrom aperture and floor of nose. Mucosal flap elevated along floor and medial maxillary wall. Hemostasis obtained. Rib graft then carved to size/shape to reconstruct inferior turbinate. Absorbable suture used to close incision followed by posisep.

Empty nose syndrome

LOL, I worked ENT for 27 years and never heard of "empty nose syndrome" but the ICD10 code for it is J34.89, which is appropriate for CPT 30465. I only know is as nasal valve collapse... I believe this code should be appropriate for what your surgeon performed, be sure to bill the "rib" graft as well.

CPT® Official Code Descriptor
Repair of nasal vestibular stenosis (eg, spreader grafting, lateral nasal wall reconstruction)
Notes:
(30465 excludes obtaining graft. For graft procedure, see 15769, 20900, 20902, 20910, 20912, 20920, 20922, 20924, 21210)

(30465 is used to report a bilateral procedure. For unilateral procedure, use modifier 52)

Nasal vestibular stenosis occurs due to congenital defects, trauma, or previous stenosis surgery leading to breathing problems.

Clinical Responsibility
The physician incises the skin and the upper lateral cartilage of the nose. Then the physician performs an excision of the scar tissue and an osteotomy of the medial aspect of the nasal bone is performed. A composite graft is harvested from the auricle and fitted into the area of defect and then the incision is closed for healing. Several other surgical techniques can be used depending upon the condition. Techniques that are used are relocation and excision of reductant tissue (e.g., nasal caudal deviation, enlarge columella, and projected lateral alar crus), resection of scar tissue and replacement by a full thickness skin graft (e.g., cartilaginous malformation), replacement by local flaps, or by transplant of free cartilage, skin, or a graft (due to a shortage of skin/cartilage).
