We have a certified diabetic educator that:
1. downloads meters/pumps during the office visit and educates patients on usage and adjustments
2. downloads meters/pumps without an office visit and educates pateints on usage and adjustments
How do I bill for this? she does not have her own provider number and all are patients of the endocrinologist that we work for.
Currently, the doctor bills for his services and the nurse doesn't add anything additional. I am thinking we may be able to bill for additional education or downloads and assessments.
