The patient receives 12 hours of monitoring & nursing care in the Inpatient status and after 12 hours the status is changed from Inpatient to Observation. How is the Inpatient service billed from a facility billing perspective. Is it billed with rev code 0762? What do we code for those Inpatient services? And does Medicaid cover it?
