1.) Can you use code 79.64 (Debridement of fracture site when the fracture is closed)?
2.) Surgeon documents: Excisional debridement of skin, subc. tissue, and bone. Pt has open fracture base proximal phalanx.
Would you still code 79.64? because 77.64 (debridement bone of hand excludes debridement of fracture (79.64)?
3. Code 79.64 excludes external fixation alone. Does it include ORIF same site?
