Good Morning!

I wanted to make you aware of a couple classes we have coming up and asking you to please forward to your contacts. This is TIME SENSITIVE AND CRITICAL!!!! All HIM Directors and Mangers, Hospital CFO's and coding professionals need to be aware of this unique opportunity.

With ICD-10 barreling down the track, there is a HUGE shortage of qualified Inpatient Coders. Our goal is to groom HIM professionals NOW in ICD-9 since ICD-10 guidelines will not differ significantly. It is best to learn Inpatient Coding in a system that is already familiar and readily grasped than to wait until it is too late.

“The Inpatient Transition: A Guide to Acute Care Coding” Winter Session is a 6-week inpatient coding course that teaches beyond the basics of acute care coding. It is designed to groom the outpatient or physician Coder for a role as an Inpatient Coder. Better yet the course is approved for 9 AAPC CEUS AND 5 AHIMA CEUS so that continuing education is awarded for learning a new and unique Coding area.

Classes are held LIVE weekly beginning January 20th. Subjects covered include:

Mechanics of Inpatient chart
Navigating record with use of Encoders and other software
HACs, POAs, Discharge Dispositions
The IPPS, MS-DRgs, MCCs & CCs .
Disease Process and Querying
Official Guidelines/Chapter Specific Guidelines
Principal Diagnoses Selection

But that's not all!!!!

We have an AHIMA CCS prep class scheduled for 3 sessions (Feb. 4th, 6th and 8th) for candidates seeking to take the exam prior to April 1st deadline of the exam change over to ICD-10.
