Quick question:
CPT 69801 inner ear perfusion
My Doc usually does this when he is doing a Tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy and OCR
However- this is how he states it in dictation:
"The area was packed mutiple times with 10mg of Dexamethasone per 1ml soaked Gelfoams for inner ear perfusion and prevention of sensorineural hearing loss."
The problem I am having is that- I read that it was packed not perfused/injected. It reads just like he packed it with epinephrine-soaked gelfoam for bleeding control.
Any advise?
