NEED HELP HERE..
So far everything I have read says that when we code an injury with a TD vaccination that the V06.5 must be primary then the laceration. But.. They always deny.
I spoke to an insurance company who explained to me that if a person recieves a TD due to a laceration/bite ect that the injury must be the primary code.
so procedure code 90715 would have to list 959.9 (injury) as primary and not the V06.5.
Does anyone have any other information I can access on this. The correct way to code a TD for injury? Please share if you do. Thank you.
