Can someone point me to a current article regarding injections during the post-op period on the same joint that they did surgery on for pain management or stiffness. Thank you
 
per NCCI manual post-operative pain management by same dr is included in the global

If you look at the NCCI edits you will see most major procedures include your aspiration/injection codes

I DO bill for the meds in post-op but no 20610 for example

unless asp/inj is un-related to surgery...I would make sure documentation is very sufficient if using "79"
