I just came across documentation from a group that is billing initiation of insulin pump using
G0108 or G0109. I have a hard time seeing that these codes could be used for this service. I know there is an S code for it but that is not covered by Medicare. I can't find anything to indicate Medicare reimburses for this separately. Does anyone have experience with this? I've been asked to look into whether we can be reimbursed for this service. At this point, it's considered a non-billable service in our physician group. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
