Is there an industry standard that is followed for accounts touched daily? Meaning, how many accounts should an account representative working denied claims work daily? And the same for an authorization specialist requesting authorizations daily? Any other revenue cycle role daily work?

There are no industry standards for such things that I'm aware, and even if there were I would think they would be so arbitrary and general that they would be of relatively little use, in my opinion. There are so many variations between organizations and practices, with differing payers, patient populations, specialties, medical records and billing systems, and internal work flows, all of which have a bearing on the amount of time and work that is required to accomplish a given task. It does not really make sense to hold an employee accountable to standards that may not be realistic and is best for each organization to create their own.
