I have a pathologist that owns his own equipment. He is claiming that the doesn't need to bill a modifier 26 or a TC. He fall under the global services. In reading the updated medicare guidelines if he is billing POS 22, which he is, then he doesn't fall under the global service and should be billing modifier 26.

Can anyone shed some light.
