Has any one had an issue with IBC paying for observation days when a patient is in for longer than 2 days? These days are being coding using the 99212-99215 series, and IBC is denying them for a referral. I have tried everything incluiding working with our provider rep with no success. We have not been using the 99224 -99225 because until recently these codes were not recognized by IBC.
