Wiki Incident to services between multi-specialists

Is the NP employed by and working under the supervision of the general surgeon or vascular surgeon? If so, then I don't see an issue.
If you happen to be an office where multiple specialties are being seen in the same suite, but the NP and the MD are not the same "practice", then I would not.
Example: My office is gynonc. We have a PA seeing patients in office while our gynoncs are in the hospital doing surgery. We have a general ob/gyn who is the same TID, but not a part of our gynonc practice seeing patients from our location 1 day a week. I would NOT bill incident-to (assuming it meets all other guidelines) simply because a doctor of a specialty different than what the patient is being seen/treated for happens to be onsite.
My understanding of FNPs is they may really work in any specialty, and it is a very generalized certification providing a lot of flexibility.
