One of my providers has some trans-gender patients and i am trying to find a diagnosis that best fits this, the ICD-9 code i have is 302.50. Is there anything else out there i should use?

302.50 is the code I use for E/M visits and injections of testosterone or estrogen for our patients w/o a problem

302.50 and 600.00

I have one and she has been diagnosed with hypertropy of the prostate. We billed it with 600.00 and of course it is denied because she is now a female. I did some google research and apparently they do not remove the prostate gland as part of the surgery. Basically you now have a female with a prostate. All good until something goes wrong. Any suggestions?
