According to my ICD10 book the default on "deformities" ex: hammertoe, goes to "acquired" .....

are you REQUIRING your doc to state "acquired" ?

I am not sure if I want to hound them, when I know I have a default....even though I don't really like relying on defaults......they do ALWAYS dictate if it is congenital.....but they don't always state acquired.

your thoughts please
