Wiki ICD-10 Deadline

I am scheduled to take the CPC exam on 12-20-2015. If I pass the exam, do I have to complete the ICD-10 proficiency assessment before 12-31-2015?

My suggestion, call AAPC directly at 800-626-2633 to get the most accurate information.

I believe since you are taking your CPC in December, you will have time till February 29,2016 to take the ICD 10.

For everyone's reference

Certified before November 2015 its due 12/31/15
Certified in November 2015 its due 1/31/16
Certified in December 2015 its due 2/29/16

Certified in 2016 or later it will already be on the exam so no separate proficiency exam needed.
