Patient as surgery for a fx and the surgeon sees the patient one month after the global period is over. Since the global period is over, the doc wants to bill a 99212 but the patient is completely healed. No pain or nothing. What diagnosis code can I use? Or is this a billable visit? How does your office handle this?

Yes you can billed the 99212 but used a aftercare healing code such as V5412, V5411, V5410 and etc.

There is a V67 code for healed fx also. As long s there is medical necessity and documentation you can bill the level documented.
