I have some providers that are giving 60mg of depo-medrol using the 40mg strength and are billing 1.5 units of the drug. Of course, most insurances will not accept uneven units so what is the best way to bill for 1.5 units of
J1030?

You would bill for 2 units if its 40mg per unit. The rest is medical waste. I'm not sure but I believe there is a way to report the medical waste for tracking purposes so the manufacturers learn what dosing packaging changes they may need to manufacture in the future.
