Has anyone had any problems with Registered Dietitian Services getting denied due to medical necessity? About 1 in 10 claims get paid the other 9 denied due to medical necessity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried all ways, but not making any progress.

RD can only bill for MNT and very few dx are covered by CMS. Other than that I would check with payor and plans to see what is covered ahead of time.
