Here is the documented note:
A 66-year-old female referred for right shoulder pain, pain with
primarily internal rotation, 165/145, back pocket, 70 degrees. Strength
is 4+/5. The right shoulder was injected with 2 mL of Kenalog 40 mg/ml and 4 mL each 1% lidocaine plain and 0.5 Marcaine plain
Here is where the confusion lies, with me. The company I work for has the HCPCS code as J3301 however it clearly shows triamcinolone acetonide per 10 MG for injection.
With this J3301 code as my company has it billing, I understand the units to bill for the Kenalog is 8 units. Is this correct?
