Hello,

I have physicians who keep dictating x-ray report Impression as Normal Knee or Normal Elbow how do I code this? Do I code Knee Pain or Elbow Pain. I am at a loss on how to code these Radiology Reports.

If no abnormalities are seen on X-ray, use the signs or symptoms which would be the reason for having the X-ray. So in these cases you can use knee pain or elbow pain if that is a symptom.
