a Medicare patient comes to the his primary provider with an open wound after a fall and dehydration, the doctor treated him for dehydration and sutured the wound then that after noon was admitted to the hospital under the same Doctor.

how do I bill this visit?

you can bill only one E&M on the same day for the same provider, but you can combine the documentation of both visits to support the initial hospital visit, as long as that same provider (or one in his/her group) did the admission.

thank you for your answer , but what should I do with the wound repair , was done on the same day at the office ?
