Wiki Hospital shared visits

If a physician sees a patient in the hospital, and a nurse practitioner within the same group sees the patient on the same day, both have notes but neither one documents that they discussed the treatment with each other, can I utilize both notes and bill it under the MD? The medical record is a shared EMR that both have access too.
