have a question on the billing for hospital services. Patient was in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for 25 minutes. The nurse is asking me if we can bill for the CPR 92950 and also bill a E/M level for the other resources we used (i.e. lab/injections/x-ray/ekg). We bill our facilities levels based on resource intensity. I realize that we can't bill for the critical care and the CPR as it was all inclusive services and that would be double dipping, but would it be appropriate to bill an e/m level (99282-99285) along with the CPR 92950. Any suggestions would be appreciated....
