If we are not the admitting physician for a patient admitted to observation at the hospital but we are consulted to do a consult are we suppose to use observation codes such as 99234 or should we be using a 99214-15 with the location of hospital outpatient?
I am looking specific to CMS guidelines or WPS Michigan Medicare Guidelines
