HELP!!!

I am new to Home Healthcare billing and I am hoping that there is a fellow billing/coder who could help me to understand this process.
We are expanding our practice to include patients with insurance other than Medicare.
We will most likely stay Out of Network providers as many of the big insurance companies are stating they have enough providers under contract.
My question is what documentation or authorizations or referrals do I need to process and send with my claims to expedite payment.

for out of net work provider ask the patients if they went to be billed directly or they have a alternatve insurance plan. remember medicare will pay last after all said and done. good luck

thanks for your answer. made me realize that I need to add one thing.

we will be doing short term rehab in home for outpatient ortho surgical patients, referred to us by ortho surgeons. most of these patients won't have medicare.
