Dr did 27134 and hip abductor repair 27299, they are bundling code and Dr. feels it should be separately payable, thoughts?

AAOS Global Service Data states that tenotomy is included with this. I'm assuming that the physician did not perform tenotomy in order to perform 27134. At first look, its seems billable and you can make a good argument for that. However, keep in mind that generally speaking smaller surgical procedures generally bundle with larger surgical procedures when performed through the same surgical approach and no doubt this was. Code 27134 has over 55 RVU's which is a very significant amount for a single procedure. So I can see the insurance bundling this as an incidental procedure.
