Patient scheduled for Total Hip Replacement, and during surgical procedure, a fracture of neck above lesser trochanter was noted. Doctor did a cable fixation of the proximal femur.
All procedures done with computer navigation.

I need to know how to code and if I can code for the fixation of the fracture, which was
less than a centimeter, but still required fixation.

27130 for the Hip Replacement
20985 for the Computer Navigation
???? Cable fixation of fracture

For the cable fixation of the proximal femur above the lesser trochanter, I would use code:

27236 (Open treatment of femoral fracture, proximal end, neck, internal fixation or prosthetic replacement)
