I have run into several office visits for my ortho doctors seeing young children (over 28 days but under a year old) who are being seen to rule out hip dysplasia. There are no symptoms being exibited but the children had breech births. What is the best way to code the e/m if the exam is completely normal?
V71.89?...according to CPT only the V70 codes can be used as primary diagnosis.
Or V70.8, V82.3, & V15.89?
No diagnostic testing is done so not sure if e/m can be coded with a screening code V82.3 but that is why the patient is being seen.
