We have a patient that post mastectomy, post revision reconstruction 3/8/11. She has a defect in the left breast where it indents very noticeably. The provider is looking for information regarding coding for harvesting of fat from one site filtering/preparing for injection into a breast defect. I have done some research and have come up with only the unlisted breast procedure code to report this procedure. Please let me know if you could offer assistance. Thanks
 
Our doctor has also talked about doing this with our liposuction device though he hasn't done one yet. I consulted with my plastics e-mail buddy and she says to use 15877 and 19342. Hope this helps!
 
The American Society of Plastic Surgery suggests 20926 Tissue grafts, other (eg, paratenon, fat, dermis) . This includes the harvest, preparation, and injection.
