I find E&M coding to be the most difficult, so does anyone know of a helpful tool or resource that would make learning E&M easier?

emuniverisity.com was always helpful for me. It was at one time all free information, but I am not sure if he is now charging, but he would take different scenarios and break them down on how to pick your levels. He did concentrate more on the 97 guidelines which I use usually only for specialties when needed. I find the 95 guidelines easier to use and easier to get to a comprehensive level.

Also, Novitas-solutions.com, which is a MAC in the northeast usually has free Webinars that explain how to use their auditing tool to decide which level of E/M was documented. Again, I know they changed their formatting and schedules for when they hold these Webinars, but you should be able to access one of their Webinars on E/M coding. I found these extremely helpful!

Good luck! :)
