arthroscopic lateral release of knee and an open patella realignment w/medial retinacular reconstruction using allograft.
The arthroscopy was performed the usual w/release of lateral retinacular.
THen he made medial parapatellar incision down to medial retinaculum and it was released off the medial patella gaining access to the medial aspect of patella and then interval between medial retinaculum and capsule was developed down to medial epicondyle. An incision was made directly over medial epicondyle and beath pine was placed parallel to joint space and over this 7mm drill was used to drill the femoral tunnel. Then allograft was stitched into place, etc.
