Patient taken to OR for knee exploration and laceration closure.

After removal of several further small fragments, the medial femoral condylar
fragment was reduced and stabilized with a 3.5 mm cannulated screw.

Following this, attention was turned to the avulsion of the fragment from the
medial side of the patella, which was attached to a significant portion of the
medial retinaculum. This was reattached using a horizontal mattress suture of #5
FiberWire through two small drill holes in the fragment and then horizontal
drill holes through the patella. The fragment was reduced back against the
medial side of the patella as best as possible, keeping in mind that several
loose fragments had been removed during the process of irrigation and
debridement. The FiberWire was tied at the lateral margin of the patella over a bony bridge, securing this fragment.

Thanks for any help
