This may sound dumb, but can someone please explain the logic behind 28300 only being allowed 1x per dos when an Evans or Dwyer osteotomy is done with a Medial osteotomy on same day?
I get that anatomically there is only 1 calcaneous per foot. I am trying to comprehend when there are separate incisions on the inside/outside/top/bottom of the foot, why the different techniques/procedures are not allowed when each procedure has a unique was of realigning the position of the heel with respect to the ground and wedges/cuts are done in different locations/regions of the calcaneous.
It is my understanding that you can't use a 59 modifier anymore. Is this correct?
Any clerification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
